Undergraduate and graduate internships

As part of our teaching-service agreement, we open our doors to the professional practices of undergraduate students, not only in the medical areas, but also in the different fields that comprise the health care work such as:

Graduate Internships (medical and paramedical specialties)

  • We support 51 medical-surgical specialty programs at 18 universities.
  • We have three paramedical postgraduate programs.
  • During 2023, 5,214 rotations were carried out, in which 1,909 students participated.
Requirements for student rotations
  • Each student must complete an induction course during the first working day of the month of the formative practice, which contains the following topics:
  • PG-EDU-007 INDUCTION PERSONNEL IN TRAINING.
  • Safe Hospital
  • Infection prevention
  • Hand Hygiene
  • Identification and Prevention of Suicidal Behavior


The purpose of the induction is to acquaint them with the general characteristics of the Hospital and it is valid for one year.

  • To start the practice at the Hospital, each student must fill out the health conditions in the admission questionnaire:
  • Document size color photo.
  • Complete vaccination card, including hepatitis B (or protective antibodies), DTaP, Covid, varicella (or protective antibodies) and influenza virus (current).
  • Current EPS affiliation certificate less than 15 days old.
  • Certificate of current affiliation to the ARL less than 15 days.
  • Certificate of basic life support, valid for less than two years (applies to interns and residents).
  • Accept virtually the scholarship agreement for the academic practice, where their duties and rights are established.
Requirements for foreign students
  • Enter your data and attach a recent color photo in document format.
  • Complete the virtual induction modules.
  • Complete vaccination card, including hepatitis B (or protective antibodies), DTaP, Covid, varicella (or protective antibodies) and influenza virus (current).
  • Basic life support certificate, less than two years old.
  • Virtual acceptance of the scholarship agreement for the academic internship, where your duties and rights are established.
  • Photocopy of the identification document (citizenship card or the one that takes its place).
  • Resume (curriculum vitae) complete with diplomas, certificates and personal references in PDF format.
  • Attend induction on the first working day of the month.
  • Abide by and comply with the rules and regulations of the Institution.


Transportation, lodging and food costs are paid by the visitor and are not assumed by the Hospital.

In 2023 we had 50 foreign interns who performed 81 rotations, from different countries such as:
