You should consult with a pediatric pulmonologist when the pediatrician suggests it or when the patient presents symptoms such as:

• Shortness of breath, chest pain or tightness, wheezing, and cough, which may indicate asthma in children.
• If the child experiences sleep disturbances due to shortness of breath or coughing.
• If the child has chronic cough (cough lasting two weeks or more).
• If the child experiences difficulty breathing.
