When to check Pneumology?

Consultation with a pulmonologist is recommended in various situations related to the respiratory system. If you experience any of these situations, consult with one of our professionals:

  • Persistent respiratory problems: If you experience symptoms such as persistent cough, difficulty breathing, wheezing, or chest pain.
  • Asthma: If you have asthma symptoms, such as recurrent episodes of difficulty breathing, coughing, and wheezing, a pulmonologist can work with you to develop an appropriate management and treatment plan.
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): If you smoke or have a history of exposure to lung irritants and experience difficulty breathing, chronic cough, and sputum production, a pulmonologist can diagnose and manage your condition.
  • Recurrent respiratory infections: If you experience frequent respiratory infections, such as bronchitis or pneumonia.
  • Sleep apnea: If you have symptoms of sleep apnea, such as loud snoring, pauses in breathing during sleep, and excessive daytime sleepiness.
  • Chronic cough or coughing up blood: Persistent cough or the presence of blood when coughing may be signs of underlying lung conditions that require evaluation by a pulmonologist.
