In our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Special Care Unit, we provide comprehensive care, with highly trained staff and advanced technology to manage critical medical situations in pediatric patients as needed.

Some of our functions include:

• Constant monitoring of the patient to reduce the likelihood of complications.
• Providing mechanical ventilation to the patient.
• Administering appropriate and necessary medications for the needs of the critically ill patient.
• Providing rehabilitation therapies to the patient to prevent and treat physical sequelae resulting from their condition.
• Providing nutritional support to the patient through our interdisciplinary team of "Pediatric Nutritional Support".

Admission to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Special Care Unit is determined by the assessment criteria of the physician in the Emergency Department. They determine which service the patient should be transferred to, considering the severity of their condition.

Providing comprehensive support to pediatric patients and their families by recognizing their protective factors, internal resources, personal, familial, and social situations to enhance adherence to outpatient treatments proposed by the medical team.

Clinical Nutrition

Delivering optimal nutritional care to pediatric patients, with a focus on high complexity, in a comprehensive, timely, friendly, and safe manner, in coordination with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
