Admission to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Special Care Unit is determined by the assessment criteria of the physician in the Emergency Department. They determine which service the patient should be transferred to, considering the severity of their condition.
Our comprehensive approach to health aims to ensure the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of each pediatric patient by offering holistic and personalized care during their stay through the following support services:
Speech Therapy
Providing assistance in feeding processes by conducting timely evaluation, diagnosis, and rehabilitation in pediatric patients with swallowing disorders.
Rehabilitation Unit
Staffed with specialists in various areas of rehabilitation to aid in the recovery of pediatric patients with conditions that result in temporary or permanent physical limitations.
Social Work
Providing comprehensive support to pediatric patients and their families by recognizing their protective factors, internal resources, personal, familial, and social situations to enhance adherence to outpatient treatments proposed by the medical team.
Clinical Nutrition
Delivering optimal nutritional care to pediatric patients, with a focus on high complexity, in a comprehensive, timely, friendly, and safe manner, in coordination with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
