Rhytidectomy or facelift
A surgical procedure that rejuvenates the lower two-thirds of the face and neck by tightening muscles, redistributing fat, and improving skin firmness to achieve a more harmonious appearance.
It can be complemented with procedures such as a forehead lift (aesthetic surgery to rejuvenate the upper third of the face) and blepharoplasty (surgery that removes excess skin and fat in the upper and/or lower eyelids) to treat eyebrow drooping and forehead wrinkles, enhancing more comprehensive results.
It is indicated for patients with facial sagging, deep furrows, drooping cheeks, and excess skin or fat in the neck. It is performed under general anesthesia, and a hospital stay of up to one day is recommended for adequate pain management and specialized medical follow-up.
